Antifungal Lavender Noni Lotion

Antifungal Lavender Noni Lotion

Noni, a fruit widely grown in the tropics have been recognized and used for centuries because of its popular medicinal value. The noni tree is a small tree from the coffee family, and its fruit is small, about the size of a potato. Despite its size, it contains an enormous amount of active ingredients that make it such an indispensable and remarkable gift from nature.

Noni is widely grown in tropical climate particularly in Southeast Asia, Australia and Polynesia. It has been traditionally used for centuries as medicinal ointment to relieve joint aches, muscle aches, inflammation, sprains, soreness, fatigue and chronic pain. Whilst noni has been used only by the locals as a tribal medicinal remedy in the past, it has now been popularized and promoted extensively in every part of the world. Today, the health properties of noni are widely acknowledged by researchers, scientists and doctors as effective and all encompassing.

Medicinal Properties of Noni

Almost every component of the noni tree has great health benefits, ranging from its leaf, its fruit and seed. Noni seeds contain high concentration of linoleic acid, an unsaturated omega-6 acid which has been proven to reduce inflammation of the skin, reduce acne and retain moisture. Linoleic acid has also been linked to cancer prevention and used in clinical research by the United States National Cancer Institute to treat breast cancer. Millions of people drink noni juice today as a supplement tonic drink due to its high antioxidant content and medicinal properties to fight cancer, cardiovascular diseases and diabetes.

Noni also contains anti bacteria and anti fungi compounds that help fight bacteria strains such as E. coli, salmonella, staphylococcus and even plasmodium falciparum, the parasite responsible for malaria. The antifungal property of noni is not a new discovery. For centuries, noni has been widely used to heal all kinds of bacteria and fungus infections such as wounds, bruises, cuts and skin abrasions. A recent breakthrough based on studies conducted by researchers in the Philippines found that noni is proven to be effective in fighting mycobacterium tuberculosis, the bacteria that cause tuberculosis.

A Healing and Soothing Potion Packaged in a Bottle Lavender Noni Lotion combines the healing and soothing properties of noni and the lovely pleasant fragrance of lavender. Its double action is not only in its ingredients but also in its function. Lavender Noni Lotion can be used as amoisturizer to enhance skin condition and to relieve dryness. Its rich emollient ingredients help to revitalize skin cells and make them look youthful and vibrant. Lavender Noni Lotion is also ideal as a soothing lotion after sun exposure and helps to relieve itchy and irritated skin.

Made from 99 per cent of Noni Fruit Leather and organic Lavender and grapefruit seed extract, the Lavender Noni Lotion has all the medicinal properties of noni. It can be used to relieve joint aches, inflammation, soreness, cramps, muscle stiffness, bruises, sport injuries and sprains. Due to noni’s high antifungal properties, Lavender Noni Lotion can also be used as an antiseptic and anesthetic by applying it on an affected area such as a cut, bruise or injury.

Lavender Noni Lotion is easy to use. Just apply on the affected area and leave it to dry, allowing it to work its medicinal and therapeutic wonders on the ailment. For injuries, cuts or wounds, it is recommended to cover the entire affected area with the lotion to ensure maximum healing.

As it is wholly made from natural ingredients, Lavender Noni Lotion can be used as often as required. It is safe to be used on children or even babies. Just as noni juice is traditionally safe to be consumed by pregnant women or breastfeeding mothers, Lavender Noni Lotion is a perfectly safe product that provides instant relief and comfort to all in the family. It is also the handy miracle bottle that can be carried everywhere and used anytime.

Noni juice may lower total cholesterol and triglycerides in adult smokers

Noni juice may lower total cholesterol and triglycerides in adult smokers
Noni, an indigenous plant of the South Pacific used in Polynesian folk medicine for over 2,000 years, may
lower total cholesterol and triglycerides, according to a study reported today at the American Heart
Association’s 46th Annual Conference on Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology and Prevention.
After one month’s use, noni juice significantly reduced cholesterol and triglycerides in current smokers with
elevated cholesterol levels.
“We chose smokers because they tend to have higher total cholesterol levels and are at higher risk for heart
disease than nonsmokers,” said Mian-Ying Wang, M.D., M.S., lead author of the study and assistant
research professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford.
Previous studies found that noni juice — made from fruit of Morinda Citrifolia, (noni tree) — had strong
antioxidant, anti-coagulation, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties.
Researchers analyzed total serum cholesterol and triglyceride levels of 132 current smokers with cholesterol
levels higher than 190 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL).   The current smokers were 20 to 60 years old and
were not on cholesterol-lowering medication during the study.
Researchers randomly assigned 13 men and 13 women to drink a juice (placebo), similar to noni in look and
taste, and 57 women and 49 men to drink real noni juice that was branded Tahitian Noni® juice.   No one in
the study knew which juice that they were drinking.
“The company formulates its noni juice with blueberry and grape juices to make it more palatable,” Wang
said.  “Otherwise, due to noni’s pungent odor and taste, it would be difficult to drink.”
After drinking one to four ounces of the noni juice daily, noni drinkers’ average total cholesterol dropped from
235.2 mg/dL to 190.2 mg/dL, and average triglyceride levels declined from 242.5 mg/dL to 193.5 mg/dL.
The placebo group’s average total cholesterol and triglyceride levels did not significantly change.
The total cholesterol levels in the placebo group rose slightly, though insignificantly, from an average 239.2
mg/dL at the start of the study to 246.6 mg/dL one month later when the study ended.   Triglyceride levels in
the placebo group also rose slightly, though insignificantly, from an average of 200.9 mg/dL to 210.0 mg/dL.
When breaking down participants’ initial total cholesterol levels into “out of range” (191 to 220 mg/dL), “high
level” (221 to 299 mg/dL), and “very high level” (at or higher than 300 mg/dL), the researchers reported that
total cholesterol decreased:
• 7 percent (14 mg/dL) among “out-of-range” noni drinkers
• 18 percent (45 mg/dL) among “high level” noni drinkers
• 22 percent (74 mg/dL) among “very high level” noni drinkers
They found similar drops among triglyceride levels in the noni group.
The study, a double-blind, placebo controlled, randomized clinical trial with men and women, was approved
by the University of Illinois College (UIC) Institutional Review Board.
According to Wang, the results are a strong indicator that noni juice may lower total cholesterol and
triglyceride levels in current smokers.   However, the study had limited participants, so the power of the
study was small. “In a future study, a large clinical trial in the general population should be conducted to confirm the long-term effect on total cholesterol,” Wang said.

M.S.; Gary Anderson, M.D.; Diane Nowicki, M.S. and Stephen Story, B.S.

Noni the magic fruit helps you in acnee

acnee
ROLE OF NONI IN ACNE
Acne (acne vulgaris) is a dermatologic condition characterized by lesions that most often appear on the
face and neck, but also develop on the chest, back, shoulders and upper arms. Approximately 80 percent to
95 percent of adolescents develop some degree of acne. Acne is characterized by pimples, cysts and
abscesses. It occurs when the pores in the skin are blocked, trapping oil, dead skin and bacteria in the hair
follicles. Under normal circumstances, glands (called sebaceous glands) attached to hair follicles secrete an
oily substance known as sebum. This sebum typically travels up the hair follicle and onto the skin.
However, if the hair follicle is blocked, the sebum can’t get out, sometimes causing the formation of a
blackhead. This is the result of the blocked oil oxidizing, causing inflammation and an influx of white
blood cells. Meanwhile, normally present bacteria (Propionibacterium acnes) begin to break down the
trapped sebum within the hair follicle. This results in further inflammation, as white blood cells attack the
bacteria. Pus forms as the lesion enters the whitehead stage. In more severe stages, an abscess—a pus-filled
pocket within the skin—may form. Although most pimples won’t leave lasting scars, anything that damages
the dermis (the layer of skin just underneath the epidermis) can leave a permanent scar.
 Types of Acne Lesions
 • Open comedones (blackheads): These are dilated hair follicles that are filled with sebum, dead cells and
bacteria, and which have central, dark, solid plugs. The follicles are not completely blocked; the black
appearance is caused by oxidation, not dirt.
 • Closed comedones (whiteheads): These form when skin cells and oil completely block the opening of a
hair follicle, usually after a blackhead has formed.
 • Nodules: These are solid, dome- or irregularly shaped, inflamed lesions that extend deep into the skin,
sometimes causing tissue damage and scarring if not treated. Nodular acne, which can be painful, is the
most severe form of the disease.
 • Papules: This type of whitehead (5 mm or less) is one that has become swollen, red and inflamed
 • Cysts: These sac-like lesions contain white blood cells, bacteria and dead cells in a liquid or semi-liquid
state. They can result in scarring, and may be very painful and severely inflamed. Cysts and nodules often
appear together to form nodulocystic acne, also very severe.
 • Pustules: This whitehead is pus-filled and inflamed. Once they rupture into the skin, they form pustular
heads.
Acne can be caused by environmental and genetic factors. The role of hormones in the development of
acne is apparent at puberty, when there is a surge in the production of male hormones (which are present in
both males and females), enlarging the sebaceous glands in the skin. This results in increased sebum
production, which leads to the aforementioned plug formation, creating as well a fertile environment in
which bacteria can multiple. Unlike male-hormone androgens, female-hormone estrogens have a beneficial
effect on acne, which is why some doctors recommend birth control pills for women who have acne. But
when a woman’s estrogen levels decline, as they do just before the beginning of a menstrual cycle, acne
may worsen.
Acne or acne-like lesions can develop in response to various substances, including corticosteroids, lithium,
and some psychotropic drugs. Use of many types of cosmetics, oil-based hair products, and suntan lotions
can block oil glands and worsen acne.
 Role of Noni
Page 1/2PR Log - Global Press Release Distribution
Noni for acne can help reduce inflammation, and infection. Acubin, L-asperuloside, and alizarin present in
the Noni have the antibacterial activity. Other ingredients anthraquinone compounds are also proven
antibacterial agents. These compounds have been shown to fight against infectious bacteria strains such as
Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus morgaii, Staphylococcus aureus, Baciillis subtilis, Escherichia coli,
Salmonella, and Shigela.
Vitamins A and E. The benefits of vitamins A and E in acne was highlighted in a recent study in which
investigators identified plasma vitamin A and E concentrations in 100 untreated patients with acne,
compared with 100 healthy controls. Plasma concentrations of both vitamins in patients with acne were
significantly lower than those of the controls, and a strong relationship between a decline in vitamin A and
E levels and an increase in the severity of acne was noted (El-Akawi Z et al 2006). Noni contain abundant
quantity of Vitamin A and E thus may help a lot in Acne cases
Lipoic acid. Research into the efficacy of lipoic acid in the treatment of acne goes back several decades.
Reportedly, lipoic acid activates a factor in the body known as AP-1, which produces enzymes that digest
damaged collagen and helps erase scars, including acne scars (Kovalev VM 1981a,b). Lipoic acid is an
ingredient in several topical acne remedies. Noni contains the Lipoic acid in natural form
Zinc. This mineral appears to perform a threefold role in the treatment of acne. It helps reduce
inflammation; kills Propionibacterium acnes, the main bacteria associated with the disease, and produces
changes in the skin environment that make it more hostile to this bacterium for a longer time. In a
double-blind study, a combination of 1.2 percent zinc and 4 percent erythromycin in a topical lotion was
used by 14 individuals with acne. The combination significantly reduced secretion of sebum after six weeks
of treatment. Noni contain this essential rare mineral and thus helps in Acne cases.
Essential Fatty Acids. The omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid
(DHA) are well-known anti-inflammatories that have been shown in some studies to reduce inflammation.
Several studies have found that omega-3 fatty acids are absorbed through the skin and can reduce
inflammation in a particular area .
Noni contains all the essential fatty acids and thus helps in case of Acne.

The only reasons Miranda Kerr is glowing...

SHE'S pregnant and in love, but those aren't the only reasons Miranda Kerr is glowing.
THE title “supermodel” is not an easy one to earn. If you’re genetically gifted you’re obviously ahead of the game, but the “super” part of the title alludes to something more.
Grace. Inner beauty. Skin most women would kill for.

And in Miranda Kerr’s case, a wholesome country-girl-next-door charm that has catapulted her onto catwalks around the world, into the arms of one of Hollywood’s leading men and to the top of many women’s “if only I could look like her” lists.

So what are her secrets?

Put simply, Kerr, who wed British actor Orlando Bloom in July and is seven months pregnant with her first child, lives clean and healthy.  She follows Dr Peter D’Adamo’s blood-type diet – which dictates what foods you should and should not eat based on your blood grouping – and credits her glowing skin to an organic plant-based diet and Tahitian noni juice.

Research Bibliography

Don't just believe. Know.

Many companies claim to have research behind their products. But much of it is weak or irrelevant. (One even touts a report comparing the antioxidant activity of their juice with that of dried potato flakes. Seriously.)

noni fruitHere's how we define research.
Thousands of independent papers on iridoids, hundreds of studies on noni fruit, and more than a dozen peer-reviewed, published human clinical trials that show the benefits of Tahitian Noni bioactive beverages on real people—not on lab rats or in Petri dishes.  In fact, Tahtitian Noni International has invested roughly $200 million into product research and research facilities.* No competitor comes close.
See more than a decade of serious science for yourself.

Iridoids are the Key

Iridoids are the Key
The bioactives in noni are iridoids.
Iridoids have been scientifically shown to protect against harmful free radicals, support a healthy cardiovascular system, increase energy, promote heart health, support the immune system and protect DNA.
Iridoids have been shown to be powerful phytochemicals produced by plants as a defense against infection and other threats. While iridoids are found in a large percentage of plants, they are not common in fruits.
Iridoids at a Glance:

• Are bioactive phytochemicals that are rarely found in fruits
• Are different than flavonoids, which are found in all fruits
• Have a range of bioactivities
• Are stable and are resistant to degradation during processing and storage, unlike many flavonoids
• Are the major bioactives* in Tahitian Noni
* Bioactives are substances from plants that have health benefits
